All four ordinances related to a potential November election to approve or reject the existing five-eighths-cent general-use sales tax and a three-eighths-cent tax for first responders were pulled from the agenda of Monday s regular City Council meeting.
On a contentious 5-to-3 vote, the Pine Bluff City Council on Tuesday approved a resolution to take about $2.9 million in sales tax proceeds and put it toward a hotel that would be built next to the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
