EASTON â Former Talbot County Council President Corey Pack has relinquished his post to successor Chuck Callahan, and while the transition of power was smooth, itâs clear a new dynamic is forming among the group of county lawmakers.
Callahan, who was elected president for the coming year by a majority vote of the council in November, has been at the helm over a week now and just led his second council meeting Tuesday, Dec. 15.
The new council president appears to still be shedding the skin of his vice presidency â often heeding on-the-spot procedural advice from Pack during council meetings. But heâs gradually molding his own leadership style and has shown heâs not going to be shy about asserting his authority.
