Recent snow has delayed development of Livewell Park and an adjacent parking lot on Santa Fe Avenue, Council Member Ed Vela said at the La Junta City Council meeting. The Livewell Park, they were going great for a couple weeks, and then all of a sudden the eight inches of snow we got four inches at a time slowed things down, said Vela. But at least all the sand has been thrown out for laying of concrete . That appears to be moving along smoothly. All electrical work has been put up.
The parking lot on Santa Fe Avenue also remains under development. Vela said the parking lot will have an entrance on Santa Fe in addition to an an exit that leads into the alleyway.
