Rutland county councillor for Uppingham Lucy Stephenson will become new deputy leader succeeding Gordon Brown

Rutland County Council has announced that Uppingham representative Lucy Stephenson will be the new deputy leader.
From Monday (March 1), Coun Lucy Stephenson will take over as deputy leader. She will remain portfolio holder for culture and leisure, environment, highways and transportation and road safety, a responsibility transferred to her in September 2020.

Coun Karen Payne will be joining cabinet from today (Wednesday, February 24) and will become portfolio holder for finance. The planning portfolio will transfer to Coun Oliver Hemsley from the same date.
