PETALING JAYA: Controversial cosmetics entrepreneur Nur Sajat, who is said to have been recently granted asylum in Australia, alleges she was molested by enforcement officers when she was arrested earlier in 2021.
KUALA LUMPUR: Controversial cosmetics entrepreneur Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman, or popularly known as Nur Sajat, has claimed trial at the Shah Alam Syariah High Court to a charge involving cross-dressing.
Sajjad, 35, is accused of dressing as a female at a religious event, an act said to have brought contempt to Islam.
He is charged with committing the offence at his beauty centre Nursajat Beauticion in Jalan Serai Wangi G16/G, Section 16, Shah Alam, at 7.30pm on Feb 23,2018.
The charge under Section 10(a) of the Syariah Criminal Offences Enactment (Selangor) 1995 carries a fine of up to RM5,000 or imprisonment up to three years, or both, upon conviction.
