WINNIPEG New research has determined that many Manitoba physicians are concerned that the province won’t reach herd immunity. According to the report from Doctors Manitoba, 68 per cent of physicians are worried about herd immunity due to vaccine hesitancy among Manitobans. It added that some of the reasons for vaccine hesitancy include concerns about side effects, fear that the vaccines were rushed, and not being worried about COVID-19. The report, based on a Doctors Manitoba survey of 1,022 Manitoba physicians and a Probe Research survey of 1,000 Manitoba adults, found that 74 per cent of Manitoba adults are willing to get the vaccine.
