The Military Aviation Museum - How It All Began

We are proud to have the Military Aviation Museum as a sponsor here at Vintage Aviation News. This magical museum in Pungo, Virginia - powered by its founders, staff and many dedicated volunteers - has played a major role in keeping aviation history alive in North America and beyond for the past two decades. Indeed, the organization has enabled the resurrection of many rare aircraft types in that time, some of them long absent from the skies when first they reflew. As the museum prepares for a bright (and permanent) future, we thought readers might like to learn a little more about how this vibrant organization got started .

FG-1D Corsair Project Available for Sale

As many readers may have noticed, Platinum Fighter Sales recently added a significant airframe to the already notable list of warbirds which they presently have on offer, this being Goodyear-built FG-1D Corsair BuNo.92106. This Oshkosh award-winning aircraft, operated for many years by Vintage Wings of Canada from their base in Gatineau, Quebec, is sadly in need of a major rebuild following a ground loop incident at Gatineau Executive Airport in July, 2019.

Four Military Aviation Museum Warbirds to Attend EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) has announced that Jerry Yagen's Military Aviation Museum (MAM) is sending four of its classic WWII-era combat aircraft to attend EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The 69th annual fly-in convention will take place between July 25th and 31st this summer.
