The Public Service Commission says it's received over a thousand complaints of alleged corruption at government departments from the first to the third quarter of the 2023/2024 financial year.
To ensure that only genuine complaints are filed on the portal, complainants will compulsorily have to submit an e-undertaking that they can be prosecuted under Section 182 of the Indian Penal Code.
The highest number of corruption complaints last year were against employees of the Union home ministry, followed by those working for the railways and in banks, according to the Central Vigilance Commission's latest annual report.
Anti-graft ombudsman Lokpal has got 1,719 corruption complaints so far this year, of which 136 were registered for conducting inquiry, according to an official data.
