A New London man is being held on a $1 million bond and faces home invasion and assault charges related to an alleged home invasion at a Norwich residence.
A 34-year-old Norwich man accused of fleeing the scene of a vehicle crash was found hiding in a swamp outside a nearby prison, state police said.
Nnamdii Ross, of 18 Dillion Lane, Unit A, was charged with evading responsibility, interfering with an officer, possession of a controlled substance, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension.
Ross’ arrest came after troopers out of Troop E in Montville were dispatched at approximately 12:23 a.m. on Thursday for a report of a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 395 in Montville. On arrival, troopers found a vehicle blocking both lanes of traffic and no driver.

A man was taken into custody when he was found in a swamp at the base of a local prison after he allegedly fled the scene of a collision on a nearby highway, police said.
