Ive only got about 50 minutes to talk to you about something thats very important. Not just in terms of military history and air power history in terms of history of our air force. Were going to talk about any number of things. Im going to get through it. Youre going to have follow along and take notes. Some of these overheads are busy. So youre going to take down the most important features. Were going to talk about the bomber barons. A little bit about Bomber Command air war from 1935 to 19 45. Remember we came into the war from the british point of view relatively late. And then well summarize what the overall impact of the combined bomber offensive. In 1984 our mutual publisher sent me a manuscript written by vietnam war aviator called for each other, and the publisher asked my opinion. I said this book is so good, if you dont publish it, i will. And next year it was published in spite of the true. So steve and i have kept in touch ever since. And then the harold coyle trilogy was for tor forge. He came up with the concept of a Foreign Military contractor that does deny the work for the Us Government all over the world. That was a trilogy that was a fun change of pace for me because i hadnt been many things in the thriller realm at that time. So that was an education. Im sure it was. And youre a wonderful writer. I think your nonfiction reads with all the pulse of fiction and a thriller. You grew up flying airplanes . Where did all this aviation background come from . Im in Eastern Oregon ranch
And unless somebody goes and reads every newspaper or, you know, were every family is going to have the problem. Youre that youre talking about it and were not going to have this, you know, kind of general understanding theres still a lot is proof that theres always work to be done when it comes to history.
