Oklahoma State University was among the universities included in the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) announcement on September 8 of five new NSF Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Hubs that will scale the NSF-led National Innovation Network.
The National Science Foundation has awarded Penn State $1.5 million as one of eight universities selected to participate in the Mid-Atlantic NSF I-Corps Hub, led by the University of Maryland. This funding will enable Penn State to expand entrepreneurial training to academic researchers in science and engineering to foster and maintain U.S. global leadership in innovation.
In a presentation to the Board of Trustees on Nov. 12, Penn State President Eric J. Barron highlighted the impact of Invent Penn State and the University’s statewide economic development and job creation efforts on students and citizens across the commonwealth.
