upbringing helped make him one of the most impactful leaders in the game. i ve been fortunate enough to speak to generals and admirals and sergeants and corporals and privates and listen to their stories and take something from them. and the one thing i ve always learned that i ve taken from all of them is that when you delegate authority, you know, you ve got to make sure you set the standard more so than anything else. it s okay to give people the opportunity to own something, but you have to understand what the standard is. that s probably the biggest lesson i ve learned. i always talk about three things i can t control, i might be able to influence, but can t control. control your attitude, preparation, and effort. those are the three things you control. whenever you step into a classroom, on to the football field, whatever you do in life, your attitude, the way you perceive things, the way you look at it, how well prepared and the type of effort you give. that can tell you wheth
for you with some food. see, that s how jail works. if you re good to people, people are good to you. if you act like an [ bleep ] over the last seven to ten days we re starting to see his behavior change because we ve been giving him less attention. we ve kind of been having just one or two people deal with him for the most part, as opposed to when he acts up, everybody shows up to include myself, sergeants, corporals. so what we ve done is we started to kind of trim those numbers down so when he does act up, we just have the necessary people around to deal with him. and up to this point, we have seen some improvement in behavior and things are really getting better with him. while staff has adopted a new approach to dealing with him, schmidt feels he had part in his apparent transformation as well. with the yoga it keeps me calm. i don t lift weights. so it s stretching, and cleaning, and that happens once in a while.
seems like you don t want to go into the population because you keep doing things and creating lockups after lockup, after lockup. for a man that wants to go to population, seems like at some point you would sit down and do your little lockup time and go off into the population, just that simple. but you keep doing things to bring us to the you cursed out the warden. you cursed out all the corporals. you told everybody to suck private parts of your body. you understand that at some point you got to control your own behavior? for real? at some point you have to try to control your behavior. okay. i want you to behave and act like the inmate like we expect an inmate to act. all right. that s what s expected of you. we re going to come back a little later and get you out of the chair. don t try to start playing we re going to try to start with a clean slate. i appreciate that. i apologize for [ bleep ] i ll let her know.
ann: corey s advantage, one way the trump administration has not been served well is following paul ryan s agenda. repealing obamacare, he left it to the house and senate. paul ryan, republican speaker, it was a complete unmitigated disaster. what corey is good at, with all due respect to the military, these generals seem to want to go to war on four different fronts at once. allen: i have to push back on you. when you look at someone my general kelly who lost his son, okay, we who have been in combat don t want to rush into combat. ann: that s why i prefer corporals to generals. a bunch of members of them, a bunch of members of my own party, seem to want to go to war
got everybody out? i like to put my own signature on things. especially something like that dealing with a population like that. so that they know the directions come from me. this isn t something that maybe came from the corporals or from the sergeant. this came directly from me. i made the decision, that s the way it s going to be. this my jail. ain t nobody in here going to run nothing in here but me. now, keep kicking on my doors and i m going to show you. i m going to show you what i can bring to you. if you don t know me, you better ask around. if you want some trouble, i m telling you, i m going to bring it to you. what you need to do is lay it down. i think it s starting to kick in that the warden does not mess around with these guys. kick on my door again. kick on it.
