The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office has determined that the use of deadly force in the 2018 shooting of Salvador Morales by Pittsburg police officers was legally justified, following an investigation into the incident.
According to a report released by District Attorney Diana Becton’s office Monday, the five officers involved in the incident justifiably feared for their lives and acted in accordance with the law.
