The Corporation Arms has permanently closed A family-run pub has become the latest in a long line of Covid casualties. The Corporation Arms in Longridge, or as it is affectionately know by locals as The Corper, announced it would be closing for good, citing unachievable rents and ongoing Covid restrictions making it impossible for them to survive. The pub, on Lower Road, not only served food and drink, but had a function room, five en-suite bed and breakfast rooms and hosted regular quiz nights and beer festivals. Posting on Facebook last week, the team at The Corper wrote: Unfortunately our time at The Corper has come to an end.
