Even when the so-called lockdown lite was decided, the German Chancellor and the heads of government of the German states called on companies to (re)enable their employees to work at home or to work remotely from home in view of the high number of infections.  The Corona Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance (the Corona-ArbSchV ) has been in force throughout Germany since January 27, 2021 and although it is currently due to expire March 15, 2021, it is likely that its duration will be extended unless the incidence rates fall significantly.
