In the latest instance of large-scale gun violence in Milwaukee, several people fired over 300 shots in a shopping center parking lot full of cars Sunday night, injuring two.
Dozens of people had arrived at Midtown Center on West Capitol Drive for a gathering known to some as Club Midtown when a barrage of shots began around 11:30 p.m., Milwaukee police said.
It s still unclear what prompted people to begin firing. Videos posted to social media depict sustained gunfire from several locations for more than a minute straight. I ve never seen something like this before, Acting Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman said in a news conference.
