According to the World Health Organization, 2.2 billion people experience untreated vision-related health conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism and cataracts. The study of the first rapid assessment of avoidable blindness (RABB) revealed that 92% of blindness in the Thai population is preventable and 76.8% is treatable.
