The House of Commons has passed a motion to designate the Proud Boys a terrorist entity.
The motion passed with unanimous consent, but at this point it’s not an official designation.

Governor General Julie Payette has informed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of her resignation.
The news comes as the results of an investigation into allegations of a toxic workplace environment at Rideau Hall are expected to be released.
Payette’s assistant, Assunta Di Lorenzo, will also resign as a result.

In a statement, Payette apologized, saying “tensions have arisen” at Rideau Hall over the last few months.

The largest mass immunization effort in Canadian history began Monday in Ontario and Quebec after the country received its first COVID-19 vaccine shipment over the weekend.
British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan inoculated their first residents on Tuesday. Four more provinces expect to start vaccinations on Wednesday.
