Published April 21, 2021 5:07pm The Senate Committee of the Whole will hold another hearing on the issue of pork importation in the Philippines on Tuesday following President Rodrigo Duterte’s call to give Executive Order 128 a chance. Senate President Vicente Sotto III confirmed the schedule of the hearing and disclosed that Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez IIII and the Department of Justice have been invited. “I will convene the resumption of the [Committee of the Whole] on Tuesday and invite [Secretary] Dominguez to elaborate on his letter for the benefit of all senators. [Department of Agriculture and [Department of Justice are] also invited,” Sotto said in a text message to reporters.
