CORK, Ireland – When it comes to being historic, charismatic and full of vibrant business life it’s simply streets ahead of the rest: Oliver Plunkett St in Cork has been declared the greatest street in Ireland and Britain by academics who study urbanization.
The accolade was handed down yesterday by the Academy Of Urbanism Awards – much to the delight of Lord Mayor of Cork Chris O’Leary, who described it as “a real coup.”
