The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), in collaboration with the University of Denver (DU), has received the prestigious designation as a National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS) Center of Excellence (CoE).
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), in collaboration with the University of Denver, received the prestigious designation as a National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS) Center of Excellence (CoE). CDPHE is one of only two honorees the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention selected for this designation. The Colorado National Wastewater Surveillance System Center of Excellence is a partnership between CDPHE and DU. The University, recognized as a leader in wastewater surveillance, established wastewater monitoring for SARS-CoV-2 in every dormitory, including the isolation dorms, in September 2020.
