Alna joined the state Climate Resiliency Partnership on Thursday, Feb. 8 with the select board’s unanimous adoption of a resolution. By joining the program, the town becomes eligible for grants toward climate-focused municipal projects. Board member.
The Alna select board members, Ed Pentaleri, Steven Graham, and Coreysha Stone, all completed professional training recently, related to their municipal responsibilities. Both Graham and Stone completed the four-hour Maine Municipal Association.
No contests await Alna voters at the polls Friday, March 24. Elections are at the fire station from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The annual, open town meeting follows at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at the fire station. Coreysha Stone will be the lone candidate.
