By Chris Nichols and Keyshawn Davis | Special to the OBSERVER - The Sacramento County homeless Point-In-Time Count is attempting to better understand the causes of homelessness in the region, with volunteers asking residents questions about their experiences and struggles.
Hundreds of volunteers took part in Sacramento County’s homeless Point-In-Time Count this week. The biennial survey provides an estimate for the county’s overall homeless population and is required to receive federal homeless funding.
