Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Allen Turner along with K-9/Shift Sgt. Gary Mehler and his K-9 “Edge” pulled over an SUV on East Laurel Road after noticing it had a license plate that was not legible. During the roadside investigation K-9 Edge alerted on the vehicle resulting in the discovery of suspected methamphetamine. The driver, 46-year-old Corey Grubb of London, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and others. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
