The Seattle-based company, Starbucks, has created the Starbucks Community Resilience Fund as of January 12, 2021, the franchise has committed to invest $100 million over the next four years to support small businesses and community development projects in areas mostly populated by Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC). Starbucks’ financial initiative intends to focus on 12 U.S. metropolitan areas, such as, Atlanta, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle and Washington D.C.
