WEST ROXBURY â Thereâs no farm to be found at Brook Farm, a tangle of footpaths and untended forest, marsh, and brush tucked into a corner of West Roxbury. Its shambling 179 acres are surrounded, quite literally, by a sea of headstones from a pair of cemeteries that bookend it north to south. Its trails are favorites of dog walkers, I learned on a recent chilly morning. (I counted at least a dozen over an hourlong ramble.) But the land itself tells no tales. All youâll see is one lonely, peaked-roof building just off Baker Street, right across from the cemetery administrative office. .- When the world stopped due to the pandemic in the spring of 2020, Portland-based painter Eva Goetz put paint to canvas and began documenting our collective COVID-19 experience. What Was That? New Paintings by Eva Goetz features 19 works that visually report, reflect, and transcend the hurt and confusion that played out within us all during 2020. The exhibition is on view at Moss Galleries from January 8 through February 6, 2021. Ten percent of sales will benefit Spurwink, a Maine nonprofit that provides behavioral health and education services to adults and children.

FREEPORT – On the last day of a complex year, under a glowing full moon, a special lady named Sandra Bradley Clark, most recently from Topsham Maine, let go of her earth life at 88 years old. Born in Boston, Mass. on Oct. 31, 1932 Sandy was the daughter of the late Robert Ivan Bradley and Ruth Earl Bradley. Sandy graduated from Beaver Country Day School; Pine Manor College; Wheelock College. Sandy also attended Tufts University, University of Maine, University of Michigan, Boston University and the deCordova Museum School. She was a lifelong student and learner, as well as a teacher, for young children. Sandy was a fine sculptor and vibrant member of the arts and antique worlds. She was a member of the N.E.
