Saskatchewan’s COVID-19 numbers are showing signs of plateauing.
The province’s rate of new cases is falling and hospitalizations and ICU admissions are steady, chief medical health officer Dr. Saqib Shahab said.

However, Saskatchewan still has the highest seven-day rolling average of new cases in the country and is seeing an unprecedented number of deaths.
Saskatchewan reported 194 new cases and 252 recoveries on Wednesday. There were 185 residents in hospital, 26 in intensive care. Eight more people with COVID-19 were reported to have died, bringing the pandemic’s death toll in Saskatchewan to 322. More than half of those deaths 169 have occurred since Jan. 1.
