Commissioners will dissect the Broward School Board vote to move more than three-hundred students zoned for Stoneman Douglas to Coral Glades High School.
Coral Springs commissioners are mulling the idea of severing ties with Parkland, including a plan to “revisit” its contract to no longer provide the city with fire and paramedic services.
The School Board decided Wednesday that 351 students now zoned for Stoneman Douglas High in Parkland will likely be assigned to Coral Glades High over the next four years.
Broward's School Board needs to postpone a planned rezoning of Coral Springs students, many of them Black or Hispanic, and develop a better long-range boundary policy.
