Trudeau said the two governments reached the agreement for more-affordable child care in B.C., making it easier for women to stay in the workforce and help families out of poverty.
As part of the agreement, he said the federal government will work with B.C. to achieve $10-a-day regulated child care for all children under six within five years.

A search continued Thursday for a 48-year-old Port Moody woman missing since Monday.
On Thursday night, the family of Trina Hunt called off the ground search that involved hundreds of volunteers combing through the wooded trails of Port Moody and Coquitlam. However, a police investigation into her disappearance continues.

Hunt was reported missing by her husband on Jan. 18. He last saw her at around 6 a.m. at their Heritage Woods home as he was leaving for work, according to Port Moody police. When he returned home she was gone, and friends believe she may have gone for a walk.
