St. Augustine is a historic place that attracts millions of visitors each year. While the major attractions like Castillo de San Marcos and the lighthouse get a majority of visitors, there are a few little-known places scattered around the city you can visit. 1. Secrets of the Lightner The building that now houses St. Augustine’s city hall and the Lightner Museum was one of Henry Flagler’s hotels called the Alcazar. Completed in 1888, the hotel was one of the first multi-story poured concrete buildings in the United States and at one time had the world’s largest indoor swimming pool. The pool, which was on the ground floor, was 120 feet long by 50 feet wide, with a depth of 3 to 12 feet.
