Many local events were canceled within the past few weeks because of the bad weather, but luckily a few have been rescheduled and are upcoming. So, check the listing below to see if one of the things that you were looking forward to has a new date that you can attend instead.

The Phantom Warrior Four-Person Golf Scramble will begin at noon Feb. 26 at the Courses of Clear Creek, 52381 Battalion Ave., Fort Hood. On-site registration is from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Cost is $40 per person, lunch is included, and there is a $5 optional mulligan. Call 254-287-4130 for more information.

WACO, Texas Temperatures are dropping into single digits on Tuesday morning, a cold that can be deadly for those without power. If it is an absolute emergency, warming stations are open. Please be cautious of the roadways and dial 911 for life threatening emergencies.

While Texans were hit hard this past week with unprecedented weather, things are starting to reopen and create a small sense of normalcy again. Check out these upcoming events if youâre looking to get out of the house or do something fun this week.
Local Events
Barrow Brewing Company, 108 Royal St., Salado, is hosting Campfire Yoga from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 22. Tickets are $20 per person or $30 per couple and includes the class and a beverage of choice. Go to https://bit.ly/3avZSUg to register in advance. Bring your own yoga mat.
The Chocolate Fantasia and Art-ism Gallery Stroll was rescheduled and will now be from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, 1206 W. Avenue B. Visitors can view artwork made by Copperas Cove ISD’s special-education students while enjoying chocolate treats and beverages. Additional Warming Stations Open in Central Texas
Before getting to the new shelters opening, I should note that I called
Impact Temple (306 East Adams Avenue) shortly before 3 PM Tuesday and was told there is still room there for those looking for shelter from the cold. However, they are out of cots, so visitors are asked to please bring their own bedding (blankets, sleeping bags, etc.). You re also encouraged to bring snacks and beverages.
