BROCKTON Wearing white T-shirts with his name and image on them and other maroon articles of clothing, family members of the late Marvelous Marvin Hagler sat under a large tent at Marciano Stadium on Sunday as the boxing legend was celebrated.
“When Marvin boxed, he always wore maroon. When I was looking at his pictures, he wore maroon in all of them, said Mae Lang, Hagler s mother. In honor of his birthday, I told the family to wear maroon so we can keep the memory alive. I never saw so many people show love to one person. I feel a little sad it’s been hard but it encourages me to keep going.”
