UTSA’s graduation rate is a failing grade of 42.1%. While this disappointing percentage can be somewhat attributed to students in the Coordinated Admission Program (CAP) at UT Austin, a low rate is still unacceptable. In comparison, UT Austin has a graduation rate well above ours, at 85.4%. In 2011, UTSA created a plan to raise.
UT Austin’s Coordinated Admission Program (CAP) offers an alternative to students who were not initially accepted into the university. Students must complete a year and 30 transferable hours at another UT school, a math course above college algebra and earn a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2. Upon completion, they are assured admission into UT’s.
