Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday announced the details of the insurance coverage for foreign Umrah pilgrims against the risk of COVID-19 virus infection, according to the ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Regarding the benefits of the policy provided by the ministry, it has been said that Umrah pilgrims coming from abroad will be given medical coverage of up to 650,000 riyals if they fall victim to the COVID-19 virus.

JEDDAH The Saudi Central Bank (SCB) and the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) announced approving new travel insurance product for Saudi citizens traveling abroad that includes benefits cover for coronavirus (COVID-19) infection’s risks.
The new product aims at providing the needed insurance coverage for citizens traveling abroad to ensure smooth access to appropriate health care by insured, who are infected with COVID-19 during their travel abroad.
The product also provides coverage for life-threatening medical cases in various countries around the world and travel-related risks including quarantine procedures, canceling or missing trips, medical expenses and medical evacuation in cases of emergency.

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will further discuss and scrutinise the issues related to the new conditions announced by the Saudi Arabian government for all visitors arriving in the Kingdom to have insurance coverage against Covid-19 infection risks.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri (pix) said they will have to look into the official statement on the matter first.
“For me, it is not a big problem because we have a lot of accredited insurance companies and agents, but we will look at it (the issues) one by one,” he said after attending the launch of Mosque as Transit Centre for Victims of Domestic Violence at Federal Territory Mosque here today.
