Against the backdrop of a bright blue sky and with the scent of blooming honeysuckle in the air, a large group gathered Saturday morning for a plaque dedication at Cooper Spring Nature Park. The idea of a nature park began germinating years ago in the heart of the late Linda Johnson after Judy Hetherly, who was mayor of Lampasas at the time, noticed the Cooper Spring property Johnson and her husband owned and began to form a dream of her own.
