we begin with lloyd lacuesta. reporter: a steady rain has been falling up here in the santa cruz mountains. about 8 inches so far, the worry now that the ground is getting saturated. there have been two mudslides reported so far that went over roads. more slides are definitely a concern. this is all de composed sandstone. reporter: one man says he put in drainage last summer. now is too late. if you re living on a steep hillside, and you ve not put any drainage in, you re screwed. reporter: strong winds to topple trees and branches. there have been moo major power outages from downed wires. driving in the wet conditions continues to be a danger. just outside felton, a 21-year- old man lost control of his toyota probing, plowed into a tree and was killed. you just have to slow down and be a little cautious. reporter: the rain is proving to be a drip so far, for reservoirs in the santa clara valley. the reservoir above los gatos is at half capacity. people shoul
