last 24 hours. as i was driving yesterday morning saw the black smoke figured it was a car on phi fire not unusual. as i was driving i realized i had to go through it. so i passed the exit. sought flames on the right of me. at the moment i thought it was just a brush fire because you could see the crash on fire, hit a bump, again, not unusual because it s philadelphia and that section is under construction. after coming back, knowing what i knew at that time, that the highway collapsed. you see right there in the video that i hit a bump that was essentially the road getting ready to collapse. thank god state police closed it counsel shortly after. steve: is that the part that collapsed or if it was the other lane. if that was the nature collapsed you barely escaped. the other lane right next to me. where you see the car bump, the video bump on the other side of
right there is going to be it s called the that cooney section of philadelphia. very, you know, small neighborhood where there s one or two they would call avenues, it that people would try to drive, but it s going to be a nightmare. it s a gridlock there during rush hour any day when people just want to avoid 95. but now that you are forced to drive there. you are better off just going into new jersey all together if possible. ainsley: how do you feel about escaping potentially death. it was a shock yesterday. because, set i really didn t know what was going on, after i learned what really happened and how close i was to it, i was counting my lucky stars and should have went out and bought a lottery ticket. no kidding. mark, thank you very much for sharing the video with us and tell the story as well. any time, thank you. ainsley: thank you. god is not finished with him. got work to do right? carley: great guest with a
north or south? good question. the southbound did not collapse with you it did buckle. it s all detoured and closed in that section. it s likely going to bed southbound lanes also having to be demolished too. steve: steve kealy live on the scene thank you very much. brian: amtrak. steve: hard to take if you are a truck driver a loaned the train. ainsley: some ways we try to prevent accidents that you just can t prevent. steve: it s the busiest road in america. ainsley: just driving over the bridge and it collapses you don t expect that. steve: that s our next guest. our next guest felt the bump as the highway started to buckle. ainsley: we tired philadelphia police sergeant his name mark few sety and he joins us now i know you were driving to pick up you your son from the airport tell us about your experience. crazy situation watching the
going too fast off i 95 is going to flip over and crash and explode like this one did yesterday. the driver, there was a recovery scene there was no sign of a driver they essentially said he was likely incinerated and crushed by the slap that came down. so, where we are now is they broke apart that slab overnight. they completely demolished it. took it away in pieces in a dump truck and now they can start to rebuild once they recover the remains of that tanker truck and that driver. and then it could take weeks and weeks to figure out how to rebuild 95 and that means weeks of constant detours. and we learned yesterday that 160,000 vehicles every day use this section of 95. and so we are in for a long hot surgeon of road rage and traffic that we have already experienced today. brian, steve, ainsley, i don t want to hear any complaints about you three about midtown manhattan traffic today. steve: no kidding. is all the 95 traffic detoured or just one side.
