Junior Jah murder: Woman, 30, arrested in connection with teen’s death Barney Davis
A 30-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday, 2 May in connection with the investigation. She was taken to an east London police station and later released under investigation.
He died after being attacked in Coolfin Road, Canning Town, just yards from his home on Monday, 26 April.
A post-mortem examination carried out at East Ham Mortuary found the cause of death to have been knife and gunshot wounds.
Junior’s aunt Yvette Goodhew described him as a “beautiful, quiet boy”.
Det Ch Inspector Mark Wrigley, who is leading the investigation, said: “Despite the arrest made, I am still very keen to hear from anyone who was in the Coolfin Road area at the time of the murder.

A man has died after he was hit by a car during a fight in Canning Town last week.
The Met Police were called to reports of “males involved in an altercation” in Butchers Road last Wednesday, April 28.
A 50-year-old man, who police say was struck by a vehicle, was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
Despite receiving treatment throughout the week, he died from his injuries on Saturday, May 1.
His next of kin are aware and continue to be supported by specially-trained officers.

The victim of a fatal stabbing and shooting in Newham has been named by the police.
Abubakkar Jah, who was also known as Junior, died in Coolfin Road, Custom House, on April 26.
The 18-year-old was found suffering from knife wounds by officers who were called at 2.45pm to reports of an injured man. Police later established he had also been shot.
His next of kin have been notified, however, formal identification is yet to take place, according to the Met.

On Wednesday, 28 April, police responded to reports of eight males involved in an altercation on Butchers Road, E16, during which, a 50-year-old man was struck by a vehicle.
The injured man was treated at scene before being taken to an east London hospital where his condition was critical.
Despite receiving treatment throughout the week, he died from his injuries on Saturday, 1 May.
Next of kin are aware and continue to be supported by specially-trained officers.
Five males were arrested in connection with the incident and taken to an East London police station. They are currently released on bail pending further enquiries.
