MOULTRIE, Ga. â D.H. Alderman Road has been closed due to recent rainfall.
A notice from the Colquitt County Roads and Bridges Department said a cross drain pipe on the road has developed a void completely across the road.Â
The road been closed to traffic between George Flowers Road and Cool Springs Road, the county said. Repairs will start Wednesday and are expected to take âa couple of days,â the notice said.
This is the only county road that is currently closed due to rainfall, but county officials indicated they were monitoring the situation and would close other roads as necessary for public safety.

MOULTRIE, Ga. â A man affiliated with a criminal street gang known as the âKiller Kracker Pride,â was indicted by the Colquitt County Grand Jury in three separate cases and accused by the District Attorneyâs Office in another.
Tyler James Weeks of Moultrie both individually and with co-conspirators faces multiple charges in the four separate cases. Each case has been brought forth in a joint effort by both the Colquitt County Sheriffâs Office and the Moultrie Police Department, according to court documents.Â
Information was not readily available on all cases from the primary investigators, which includes Investigator George Newton of the MPD, Investigator Channing McDowell of the CCSO Drug Enforcement Team, Justin Searcy also of the CCSO DET and Investigator Kat Johnson of the Colquitt County Criminal Investigation Division.Â

⢠Tony Sherrod Hayes, 47, 715 Seventh St. N.W., was charged May 25 with disorderly conduct.Â
⢠James Love, 73, 9 Fourth Ave N.W. Apt C, was charged May 25 with two counts of contempt.Â
⢠Zanautica Zilinyih Wheeler, 23 384 East Gate Circle, was charged May 25 with contempt.
⢠Lashica Quinta Haynes, 39, 2809 Fifth St. S.E., was charged May 25 with hindering apprehension or punishment of a criminal.

⢠Pedro Meliton, 24, 270 South Cool Springs Road, Norman Park, was charged May 25 with hit and run, D.U.I., failure to stop at a stop sign, expired vehicle tag, distracted driving, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, littering highway, open container, adult restraint law, driving without a valid license and no insurance.Â
