Bolton PZC continues quarry plan to January meeting

BOLTON — For the second straight meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted to continue a public hearing regarding a possible excavation business at the quarry, giving residents another opportunity to voice their concerns, or support, for the proposal. The commission voted Dec. 9 to continue the hearing about the quarry proposal until its Jan. 13 meeting. The panel did the same thing in November because it was still waiting for supplemental information from the applicant, William Phillips. Phillips submitted a special permit application to the town for an excavation business at the old quarry located at 1 Notch Road. The application includes a proposed garage and office building on the site as well as approvals for business, equipment storage, and material-processing areas.
