Residents here are shocked that it turns out they were now the only ones surprised by the arrest. Even firefighters are talking this morning about how surprise they were to hear abut the arrest of 40yearold Damin Anthony Pashilk, of clearlake, charged with 17 counts of arson including the clayton fire. The fact that it was a surprise mean they done right thing in keeping the investigation close to their chest, not sharing the information which allowed and increase for this to be a case of integrity. This is a devastating time for the community and even this arrest brings some relief, it will not bring back the homes. You could see the extent and distance the fire traveled.
