Body found in river; man arrested

A deputy with the Roane County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect for the murder of a man found dead in the Emory River in Harriman.
Roane Conty Sheriff Jack Stockton gave details in a phone interview.
He said a fisherman found the body of 37-year-old Arron Brown the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 9. Brown was found lying face down in the Emory River some time before 9 a.m. Stockton said a fisherman was launching his boat from a boat ramp when he found the body.
Stockton said his office is investigating it as a homicide. One man, Casey Lee Ridenour, is in custody, arrested at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. He is charged with second degree murder and bond was set at $500,000, according to the sheriff.
