Starkville police helping troops overseas
The Starkville Police Department is wanting to help members of the military overseas during the Christmas holiday.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) The Starkville Police Department is wanting to help members of the military overseas during the Christmas holiday.
The department chose Sneakers for Soldiers, a nonprofit group accepting donations to provide sneakers to soldiers fighting in other countries.
This is the first year the department picked Sneakers for Soldiers as its Angel Christmas Tree recipient.
Animal Control Officer Brandy Johnson said she felt this was a safe way for people to give this Christmas.
