Bennington voters said no to bringing the lottery game Keno to town during Tuesday’s voting, with 134 no votes and 105 voting to allow the game. Harris Mini Mart on Route 202 was hoping to offer Keno at the convenience store, and state law requires.
Carol Nelson, on behalf of the Affordable Housing Subcommittee of the Economic Development Authority (EDA), presented the Select Board with a shared plan that addresses the challenges faced by people in Peterborough seeking affordable rental housing.
The Peterborough Affordable Housing Subcommittee is launching a newsletter, “Neighbors Together,” the first week of October.The newsletter will come out every other month, and the goal is to keep residents and businesses of Peterborough up to date on.
The Contoocook Housing Trust (CHT) was asked Tuesday to come back to the Peterborough Select Board with the incomes of residents living in three of its properties before it could receive payments in lieu of taxes. CHT was formed in 1990 as a nonprofit.
