The mission district. Folsom and 24th. Police got a call a man chasing someone with a knife. And two plainclothes officers got there. They say they saw an hispanic man in his 20s with what looked like a kitchen knife. They drew their guns and told him to drop it. At some point in time, the officers are only allowed to fire in defense of themselves or others felt that one of those situations was in play they fired upon the suspect. Witnesses say they heard between four and six rounds. We found six casings so far. That appears to be consistent. Reporter the suspect died at the scene. And this may have started over this bike.
