Dayyabu Ciroma, Chairman of the Bauchi State Drugs, and Medical Consumables Agency has declined a Federal Government’s appointment as a member of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Shendam, Plateau State.
In a letter addressed to Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education, dated 12th April 2021, Ciroma said his dogged allegiance to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State informed his decision to turn down the offer.
He said that he reserved his undiluted commitment to serve his immediate constituents in Bauchi State and to pay back the trust and confidence Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed reposed in him at the moment.

A former majority leader of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Dayyabu Chiroma, has declined his appointment as a member of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Shandam, Plateau State.
Chiroma, who represented the Darazo constituency, said he rejected the appointment by the Nigerian Government due to his loyalty and dedication to his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party.

Sokoto Dec. 23, 2020 The Sokoto State House of Assembly has passed a Bill for a law to regulate activities of private healthcare service providers in the state to ensure that they attain minimum standard.
This followed the adoption of the report of the House Committee on Health, presented by the Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Sarki (PDP-Sokoto North II) at Wednesday’s plenary in Sokoto.
Alhaji Bello Ambarura, moved for the consideration the report.
Deputy Speaker Abubakar Magaji who presided over the sitting, put the motion into a voice vote and it was unanimously adopted by the lawmakers.
Also, the House passed a bill for a law to establish the State Medical Consumable Management Agency.
