Littlehampton woman viciously attacked with claw hammer in alleyway
Sussex Police are searching for a woman who stopped another woman being violently attacked with a claw hammer in Littlehampton.

A police spokesman said the 41-year-old victim was talking to a friend in an alleyway between Clifton Road and Pier Road at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, May 12.
She was approached by a man who offered her drugs, police said, but she refused.
The man then started beating her around the head with a claw hammer, while another woman joined in the attack by kicking the victim in the body.

The attack happened in an alley between Pier Road and Clifton Road Littlehampton A WOMAN has been left deaf in one ear after a hammer attack robbery in an alleyway. She had been walin between Clifton Road and Pier Road in Littlehampton when she was approached by a man offering her drugs. The 41-year-old victim refused, the man beat her about the head with a claw hammer, while a woman accomplice joined the attack, kicking the victim. But police say another woman, who spoke with an East European accent, “bravely” interrupted the attack, with the two robbers running off with £40 cash from the woman.
