Police arrest two men in connection with theft of catalytic converter Two people were arrested after police responded to reports of a catalytic converter being stolen. Police received calls at around 12.20pm on Saturday November 28 from members of the public at Borehamwood Shopping Park. Officers had been told a car had been targeted and a catalytic converted had been stolen. Police carried out a search of the area and two men, aged 33 and 29 from London, were arrested on suspicion of theft and going equipped to steal. They have since been released on police bail while the investigation continues. Detective Constable Barnaby Godding, from the Hertsmere local crime unit, said: I’d like to thank the members of the public who contacted police to notify us of suspicious activity and I would continue to urge anyone who sees suspicious activity around vehicles to contact us, particularly where people are trying to get under cars in public car parks or on public roads.
