Man leaves couple shocked after exposing himself at park

Premium Content Subscriber only A court has heard how a couple were left shocked after a man exposed himself at a local park. John Michael Walton, 67, pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday to one charge of wilful exposure. The court heard the couple were in their car eating breakfast at Queens Park on January 29. One of the victims called Policelink after they saw Walton relieving himself in front of the pair. When police arrived the couple pointed out Walton to the officers. Police approached Walton and told him they were investigating an exposure complaint. When officers asked Walton if he had exposed his genitalia to the man and woman he initially denied it, saying he was fixing up his pants and that they may have fallen out of the bottom of his shorts and didn t mean for it to happen.

Premium Content Subscriber only A court has heard how a young man’s parents kept the wrecked car he crashed in their yard to remind him of the consequences of his drink driving. Jack David Manzini, 23, pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Thursday to one count of driving under the influence of liquor. The court heard police were called to Qunaba on October 10 last year after a car had rolled into a field, with reports of people trapped in the vehicle. When they arrived they saw a white car had rolled onto its roof and saw two men walking around the car in a confused state and another man collapsed near the car in a semiconscious state.

Man denied bail after alleged serious DV incident

Premium Content Subscriber only A man has been refused bail after he allegedly threatened to burn down his partner s home in an act of alleged domestic violence. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Friday by videolink from the Bundaberg Watch House. He is facing a number of offences include two counts of aggravated domestic violence order breaches. The man made an application for bail which was opposed by the prosecution. The court heard the man was also charged with public nuisance after he allegedly started yelling and threatening witnesses. Police prosecutor Senior Constable Tina Bland told the court witnesses told police the man appeared heavily intoxicated at the time.
