WASHINGTON, D.C.- The U.S. Chamber’s U.S.-Mexico Economic Council (USMXECO) is pleased to welcome Ivan Van der Walt, Chief Executive Officer of Mexico Pacific, as Chair of the USMXECO and Co-Chair of the U.S.-Mexico CEO Dialogue. He succeeds former Chair Pat Ottensmeyer, a prominent North American rail industry executive who had served as President and CEO of Kansas City Southern from 2015 until the completion of the merger creating Canadian Pacific Kansas City in 2023. In his role as Chair of the USMXECO, Van der Walt will preside over the U.S.-Mexico CEO Dialogue, alongside the Mexican Co-Chair, Guillermo Vogel, Vice Chairman of the Board of Tenaris. WASHINGTON, D.C. - Mexican and U.S. business leaders met with senior government officials from both countries at the 13th U.S.-Mexico CEO Dialogue hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial (CCE) to boost economic growth, strengthen competitiveness, and increase trade and investment between the United States and Mexico. The event was held on September 28 on the margins of the U.S.-Mexico High Level Economic Dialogue (HLED) and included the participation of Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alicia Bárcena, Mexican Secretary of Economy Raquel Buenrostro, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard R.
